Madalyn's Princess Cake
Finally! I made a princess cake. For a princess party! The birthday girl LOVED it.
This was a rice krispies cake, with fondant detail. (We made chocolate and vanilla cupcakes for serving.) I certainly hope there are more of these in my future. It was so much fun!

Logan's 4th Birthday Cake - Lightning McQueen!
Logan's cake was made to his request this year - "only chocolate", and Lightning McQueen. I made cupcakes to serve to the kids at his party (much easier than dye and fondant everywhere!)...
This was a chocolate cake, with chocolate buttercream, topped with fondant. The cupcakes were chocolate/vanilla, with chocolate/vanilla buttercream, sprinkled with sugar crystals and "dirt" crumbs.

The Puppies Birthday Cake
This cake was for a baby's 1st birthday - so naturally, there was a little cake for he baby to match. This was a 2-flavor cake: chocolate and vanilla, filled with chocolate frosting and topped with vanilla buttercream. The baby cake was vanilla cake, injected with chocolate frosting, and topped with vanilla buttercream.

The Christmas Cake

This is a family tradition now - every Christmas we enjoy this amazing treat. How could you not? This is a moist chocolate cake, filled with delicious chocolate truffle loaf, coated in rich chocolate buttercream, topped with silky ganache and silver dragees.
