The Big Worry Wedding Cake
I had a bride contact me about making her wedding cake, and told me a story about how her family had been 'running the show' so far with her wedding, so she wanted her cake to be all her. After discussing her ideas, she was absolutely sure she wanted ivy leaves, fall flowers, hand embroidery detail, a mirrored dance floor, and more. I sketched the design over and over again, worried about how it would all tie together... but in the end, it came out wonderfully. This was a red velvet cake, with buttercream frosting.
